CVS Health is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer on the Data & Performance Enablement team. You will design and implement platforms that manage distributed event streaming technologies, owning features for database, messaging, and data warehouse platforms.

Qualifications

5+ years of applicable experience.
Strong experience with messaging platforms (Kafka/Redis).
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python).
Experience with major cloud providers (Azure or AWS preferred).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain data platform components for provisioning, backups, and user management.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance and reliability issues in data systems.
Identify opportunities to improve data streaming services, security, and automation.
Participate in on-call rotation to support critical services.
Mentor junior engineers on DBRE principles and data technologies.
Contribute to the technical roadmap by researching new data technologies.
