Satispay in the United States is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to shape the evolution of its data platform. You will architect, scale, and govern systems that empower Data Analysts and business teams to model and analyse data safely.

Own the Data Lakehouse with Redshift, lead dbt & CI/CD, build Airflow workflows, manage the ML feature store, and design streaming pipelines for near real‑time insights; mentor junior engineers and align with security and governance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of data platform experience.
• Strong SQL skills and practical Python/Java/Scala experience for data pipelines.
• Experience designing batch and real-time streaming architectures.
• Passion for scalable data platforms and data quality & governance.
• Familiarity with platform models enabling self-serve data analytics.
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools and LLMs integration.
• Clear communication and stakeholder management.
• Fluent in Italian and English for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of a modern Data Lakehouse with Redshift integration.
• Own dbt framework, CI/CD, testing for analytics engineering.
• Build and maintain orchestration layers with Apache Airflow.
• Own ML platform, feature store, data pipelines for training and inference.
• Design streaming pipelines with Flink/Spark for near-real-time analytics.
• Explore AI tooling and deploy AI agents to automate tasks.
• Oversee ingestion workflows with Fivetran and Python pipelines.
• Ensure data quality, observability, and SLA compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish engineering standards.
