Job summary

USP is seeking a high-energy Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on an AWS‑based Lakehouse, collaborating with data architects, analytics teams, and stakeholders to ensure trusted data for analytics and decision‑making.

You will implement Medallion architecture, Terraform, and CI/CD, while focusing on data quality, governance, and Power BI readiness. The role requires 7+ years in data engineering and strong Python/SQL skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data engineering experience, with AWS and big data tech.
• Strong Python and SQL skills; PySpark experience preferred.
• Hands-on data pipelines on AWS (Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift, etc.).
• Experience with Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) architectures.
• Experience with Terraform for infra provisioning.
• CI/CD tooling experience (GitHub/Bitbucket, CodePipeline).
• Knowledge of star schema, SCD, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ELT data pipelines across sources.
• Implement Medallion Lakehouse architecture for performance and cost efficiency.
• Manage AWS infra with Terraform; enable CI/CD and GitOps practices.
• Model data, handle schema drift, and optimize queries with partitioning.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance throughout pipelines.
• Collaborate with Architects and Analytics teams; support BI needs.
• Provide production support and on-call coverage for pipelines.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
