Job summary

Medidata, a Dassault Systèmes brand, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to lead end-to-end Lakehouse initiatives and robust data pipelines. You will collaborate with Data Ops and Product teams to design scalable analytics platforms and dashboards, applying best practices for batch and streaming data processing.

You will work with Spark, Trino, dbt, and Iceberg in production, mentoring engineers and contributing to RFCs, dashboards, and self-service analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience building and operating reliable data pipelines.
• Strong focus on analytics transformation and Lakehouse best practices.
• Experience with Spark, Trino, dbt, and Iceberg in production environments.
• Familiarity with AWS and data ingestion tools like Fivetran or Airbyte.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of Lakehouse components from design to deployment.
• Collaborate with Data Ops and Product teams to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Write RFCs, lead technical conversations, and mentor junior Analytics Engineers.
• Translate monitoring and analytics requirements into actionable projects with high-quality deliverables.
• Actively participate in team rituals and continuously improve data ingestion and exposure.
