You will mentor engineers, lead migrations, and partner with ML teams to enable model training and inference at scale in a cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of software engineering experience, including at least four years focused on data platforms or backend infrastructure.
• Experience with distributed systems and large-scale data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Snowflake).
• Proficiency in at least one systems programming language (Python, Java, C++, or Go) and scalable API design.
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL data modeling and query optimization.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with data compliance and secure data handling.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize pipelines that ingest, transform, and distribute large-scale document data.
• Build and maintain backend services for document storage, retrieval, and processing.
• Implement data governance, privacy controls, audit trails, and regulatory compliance like GDPR.
• Lead database migrations and improve schema design, query performance, and data scalability.
• Partner with ML/AI teams to support model training and inference at scale.
• Mentor engineers on architecture, practices, and system design.
