Job summary

Paradigm Health is rebuilding the clinical research ecosystem by enabling equitable access to trials. The Staff Engineer, Data will own the data platform strategy, drive cross‑team data pipelines, and mentor engineers, shaping scalable, secure data products across the organization.

You will partner with product, AI, and infra teams to align architecture with business needs while advancing privacy and governance of diverse clinical datasets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software/data engineering.
• Deep expertise in SQL, data modeling, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Spark or Flink for batch and streaming analytics.
• Proficiency in Python or similar languages; familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
• Cloud computing experience and building scalable data platforms.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead large cross-team data platform initiatives from design to production.
• Own data model and tooling strategy for Paradigm's data platform.
• Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines using cloud tech.
• Mentor engineers and align with product, AI, and infra teams.
• Drive architectural decisions and ensure data governance.
