Job summary

isolved is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own and operate our data platform infrastructure. You will manage Databricks and Snowflake, build and maintain Fivetran, dbt, and Workato pipelines, and drive CI/CD and IaC practices using Terraform and GitHub Actions.

This hands-on role emphasizes operational excellence, incident response, and cross-functional collaboration with data engineering, analytics, and integrations teams to deliver reliable data solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a computer-related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data platform engineering or related field.
• Experience with administering Databricks (Unity Catalog, clusters, secrets, cost optimization).
• Experience with administering Snowflake (warehouses, RBAC, resource monitors, data sharing).
• Deep experience building/baking Fivetran connectors and pipelines.
• Deep experience with dbt models, tests, and CI integration.
• Experience building Workato recipes and integration workflows.
• Strong CI/CD experience, ideally with GitHub Actions, including automated testing and deployment pipelines.
• Strong Terraform experience provisioning and managing cloud/data resources as code.
• Strong PySpark and Python skills for data processing and automation.
• Cloud familiarity with Azure and/or AWS; Git-based workflows.
• Solid troubleshooting, incident response, and RCA skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and tune Databricks workspaces and Unity Catalog; manage access controls and cost.
• Administer Snowflake including warehouses, roles, and resource monitors.
• Build, monitor, and maintain Fivetran connectors and pipelines; troubleshoot data quality issues.
• Develop and maintain dbt models, tests, and documentation; ensure governance of pipelines.
• Write Terraform modules to provision Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud infra as code.
• Build CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for testing, deployment, and infra changes.
• Write PySpark/Python code for data processing and automation.
• Monitor platform health; lead incident response and root-cause analyses.
• Implement identity, access, and security controls per architecture standards.
• Support pipeline orchestration (Airflow or equivalent).
• Configure and enhance Power BI visualizations.
