Job summary

Sigma Computing is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to own the underlying data architecture across Snowflake and Databricks, and to build and optimize ETL pipelines for internal and demo use cases. Reporting to the VP of Data & Revenue Engineering, this is a high visibility role with greenfield projects.

You will architect production pipelines, scale demo asset data across cloud warehouses, advance data governance, and collaborate with Product, Engineering and GTM teams in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of APIs and building data pipelines into Cloud Data Platforms (Snowflake, Databricks).
• Excellent communication and collaboration with Analytics and Infrastructure teams internally at Sigma; ability to work with them is essential.
• Experience deploying data governance frameworks at scale.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and move fast to deliver results.
• 3+ years in a data engineering role.
• Startup experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage production data pipelines in Snowflake and how they are consumed in Sigma (Tech: Fivetran, dagster, dlt, terraform, dbt, Snowflake, Sigma, Hightouch, Metaplane).
• Build foundational processes for scaling our demo asset data across various Cloud Data Warehouses.
• Scale our terraform deployment across all of our Snowflake assets.
• Advance our data governance policies.
• Work cross functionally with Product, Engineering, GTM on these initiatives.
