Job summary

CrowdStrike, a global cybersecurity leader, invites a Senior Engineer for the Data Services team. You will own enterprise-scale data plane services and automate critical clusters built on Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, and Kafka.

You’ll partner with engineering and support to resolve time-sensitive issues and ensure data reliability at scale. You’ll bring hands-on experience with Linux in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/OCI) and a DevOps mindset, delivering robust, scalable data solutions

Qualifications

• Configuration management with Chef, Salt, and/or Kubernetes; or strong Ruby experience.
• Experience with large-scale datastores using Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and MySQL.
• Experience with large-scale Linux environments.
• Experience operating in the cloud (AWS, GCP, OCI).
• Proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams.
• Strong decision-making skills, especially in time-critical situations; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, CIS, or Engineering.
• Experience applying AI technologies to enhance decision-making and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Maintain deep understanding of data components (Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and operate/automate configured clusters.
• Develop infrastructure services to support a full DevOps model for CrowdStrike engineering.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Support to troubleshoot production issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure petabytes of critical business data remain safe, secure and available.
