Job summary

Evention is seeking a Senior Developer, Data Engineering to lead the design, development, and delivery of our enterprise data platform built on Microsoft Fabric. You will set technical direction for the data platform team and partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to turn data into a strategic asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years building enterprise data solutions on Azure.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric or Databricks.
• Strong Python for data engineering.
• Proficiency in PySpark and SQL.
• Experience with data pipelines, lakehouses, ETL/ELT.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the data platform team and set technical direction.
• Design, build, and maintain enterprise data solutions on Microsoft Fabric, including lakehouses, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Architect scalable data models and analytics for reporting and BI.
• Develop Spark notebooks and distributed data processing jobs.
• Build .NET-based Azure Function Apps and serverless workflows.
• Integrate client data sources feeding the data platform via APIs.
• Translate requirements with stakeholders into technical solutions.
• Enforce best practices for data pipelines, CI/CD, monitoring, governance.
• Review code and designs; mentor team members.
• Stay current on Fabric, Azure data services, and trends.
