Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and operate modern data platforms at scale across Azure and AWS. You will craft reliable pipelines, semantic data models, and self-service analytics enabling business decisions, with containerized workloads via Azure Container Apps Jobs.

You will collaborate across data engineering, analytics, and product teams, mentor juniors, and implement best practices in CI/CD, IaC, and data governance.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python for production-grade pipelines and automation.
• Strong SQL (T-SQL/ANSI) with data modeling experience.
• Experience building data platforms on Azure and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines using Python and cloud-native tools.
• Architect data solutions across Fabric, Azure SQL, and AWS services.
• Implement robust, fault-tolerant pipeline patterns with logging and retries.
• Collaborate with analytics/BI to deliver clean data models for Power BI or similar tools.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
