Job summary

7N is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and govern enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, Dataverse, and Azure services. You will create scalable data architectures and reusable data products to support operational apps, analytics, and AI initiatives.

You will partner with business and technical teams to deliver trusted data assets, design data models, and build pipelines across bronze to gold data layers. Strong data governance and DevOps practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced: Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, Dataverse, Power BI semantics, data modeling.
• Strong: Python, Spark/PySpark, REST APIs, Power Platform, Dataflows Gen2.
• Knowledge of Medallion architecture, OneLake, Purview, and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise data architectures using Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, and SQL Server.
• Build scalable ingestion from Dataverse, SQL Server, REST APIs, SaaS, flat files, and SFTP.
• Develop Fabric Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, and semantic models.
• Create bronze, silver, and gold data layers; optimize for performance and cost.
• Model Dataverse and operational data; design APIs and data contracts.
• Create dimensional, star-schema and semantic models for Power BI.
• Build data marts and enterprise metrics; support AI-ready data assets.
• Implement metadata, lineage, governance, and data quality processes.
• Design near real-time and batch integrations; support CDC and data sync.
• Establish DevOps and CI/CD for data assets; monitor and observability.
