Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to build, run, and evolve a production-grade Azure Databricks data platform. You will own pipelines, data quality, observability, and data governance in a regulated healthcare environment.

The role emphasizes software engineering, DevOps discipline, and experience operating production systems. Remote work in the US is supported for this position, with a focus on reliability and scalable data infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of progressive experience in software, platform, DevOps/SRE, or data engineering.
Strong Python and CI/CD experience with multi-environment deployments.
Terraform and cloud data platform administration (Azure & Databricks).
Production experience with Spark/PySpark and SQL.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain shared Python libraries and configuration-driven frameworks for onboarding and running pipelines.
Own GitHub Actions pipelines and release processes promoting assets from sandbox to production.
Support production platform reliability, observability, incident response, and runbooks.
Collaborate with domain teams to onboard data sources and deliver self-service features.
