CVS Health is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to build, run, and evolve our Azure Databricks data platform that ingests, validates, and protects data for data engineering teams.

We run the platform like a software product with configuration-driven pipelines and code-reviewed changes delivered through CI/CD. This role values production experience and DevOps discipline, with remote work possible in the US.

Competenze

• 3+ years in software, platform, DevOps/SRE, or data engineering.
• 2+ years building or operating cloud data platforms or production data systems.
• Strong Python skills (packaging, modular code, pytest) and Git-based review.
• Terraform experience with Azure and Databricks resources.
• Production experience with Spark/PySpark and SQL (batch and streaming).
• Experience with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Delta Live Tables.
• DevOps/SRE style production support: monitoring, incident response, on-call.
• Clear written and verbal communication in a remote team.

• Platform Development: Build and maintain shared Python libraries and configuration-driven frameworks.
• CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code: Own GitHub Actions pipelines and release process.
• Operations, Reliability & Recovery: Support production, improve observability, runbooks, and RCAs.
• Security & Governance: Maintain platform controls with Unity Catalog and protect data.
• Domain Enablement: Onboard data sources and turn recurring needs into self-service features.
• Collaborate with domain teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable data services.
