Job summary

Gravie seeks a hands-on Data Platform Architect to lead architectural depth and design stewardship for its next-generation operational data platform. You will unify data across internal systems, vendors, and partners, moving beyond batch processing toward near-real-time ecosystems.

You will own end-to-end architecture using Kafka, Flink, Debezium, and AWS, define canonical models, enforce data contracts, and socialize patterns across teams including Product Engineers and Data Ops.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of experience architecting and operating large-scale data integrations and streaming pipelines.
• Hands-on with Kafka, Flink and Debezium; stateful stream processing and exactly-once semantics.
• Extensive AWS cloud experience and data governance/security awareness including HIPAA.
• Strong SQL and Python; Java/JVM knowledge preferred; able to translate tech to business goals.
• Experience in a healthcare context and working with external partners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end architecture for the operational data platform using streaming tech.
• Define canonical data models, data contracts, and governance with partner teams.
• Establish data governance, RBAC, and HIPAA-aligned security controls.
• Lead technology selection for real-time data capabilities aligned with compliance.
• Provide architectural leadership and mitigate risks with trade-off analyses.
• Mentor Data Producer & Consumer teams and promote knowledge sharing.
• Drive Gravie's data platform innovations and AI use-case enablement.
