Job summary

Tempus AI, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and own the data platform that underpins a real-time, multi-modal healthcare evaluation system.

You will build pipelines, services, and data models across clinical data formats including EHRs, genomics, and imaging, with ownership of reliability and scale. You will work in TypeScript, Python, and SQL, shaping the data models, and deploying on Google Cloud with Terraform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building data-intensive software systems in production.
• Experience owning data pipelines and data modeling in production.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL).
• Experience with HL7/FHIR data standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build pipelines feeding the agents and data services.
• Develop systems to fetch, parse, and serve structured and unstructured data for real-time inference.
• Own the warehouse and its transformations; maintain dbt models and SQL standards.
• Write production-ready TypeScript services and APIs coordinating agents.
