Job summary

RingCentral is seeking a Sr. Manager/Lead Systems & Data Architect to own the architecture, roadmap, and execution of a modern cloud-native data platform. You will influence senior stakeholders, mentor engineers, and shape a data-driven, AI-ready platform across analytics, real-time processing, and LLM workloads.

The role sits at the intersection of data engineering, cloud infrastructure, analytics, and AI, requiring hands-on expertise and a strategic vision for enterprise-scale data systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or platform engineering roles.
• Strong command of SQL, Spark, and Python for distributed data processing.
• Experience designing data platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP with focus on security.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, lineage, and cataloging tools.
• Experience with real-time/streaming architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub) and orchestration (Airflow, dbt).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and complex migration programs.

Responsibilities

• Define a cloud-native, enterprise-scale data architecture supporting batch, streaming, analytics, and AI/ML workloads.
• Develop and execute a multi-year data platform modernization roadmap balancing speed, risk, cost, and continuity.
• Drive architecture decisions across Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud-native services for scalability and security.
• Lead ingestion, transformation, and serving layers with data engineering, analytics, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Establish data governance, quality, lineage, and access control aligned with enterprise needs.
• Advise on lakehouse, data mesh, and data product concepts; mentor senior engineers.
