Job summary

Toyota's Digital Innovations group seeks a Principal Engineer II, Data Engineering to lead the technical strategy and execution of Supply Chain data platform transformations. This role blends architectural leadership with hands-on delivery across data and AI/ML workloads.

You will guide multiple teams, set priorities, and shape roadmaps with product and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions while advancing AI-enabled delivery excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and delivering complex enterprise data and software solutions.
• 5+ years of cloud-native data architecture on AWS, Databricks, and Azure.
• 5+ years delivering modern data solutions with Python, PySpark, SQL, Databricks, Spark, AWS Redshift.
• Experience setting technical direction across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Experience leading in cross-functional teams and AI-enabled delivery capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define and advance the technical vision for large-scale supply chain data platforms on AWS, Databricks, and Azure.
• Lead architecture decisions across data products and development teams.
• Mentor engineers and engineering managers to elevate technical excellence.
• Directly lead multiple development teams and set priorities.
• Drive agile delivery practices and measurable outcomes across lifecycles.
