Evolution USA is seeking a Senior Engineer to join a fast-growing BioTech software team at the intersection of software, data engineering and real-world systems integration. You will own end-to-end data pipelines and integrations, collaborating with scientists to turn complex data into actionable insights.

The role focuses on building Python services, data workflows and containerized apps, while shaping architecture as the platform scales across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering skills with Python.
• Experience building production data pipelines, ingestion systems or integrations.
• Good understanding of APIs, data modelling and distributed/data-processing systems.
• Cloud engineering experience, ideally AWS, though other major clouds are relevant.
• Experience with Docker/containerized applications.
• The ability to work across backend software, infrastructure and data layers.
• Comfort solving ambiguous technical problems with limited upfront definitions.
• Experience in biotech, pharma, scientific software, or related fields is beneficial but not required.

Responsabilités

• Build Python services and data pipelines for complex datasets.
• Develop integrations with external systems and equipment.
• Design schemas and data models for imperfect or non-standard data.
• Move data reliably between on-premise environments and the cloud.
• Build APIs and containerized applications around data workflows.
• Collaborate with technical and scientific users to turn unclear problems into solutions.
• Take ownership from requirements through to production.
• Help shape engineering approaches as the platform scales.
