Evolution USA is seeking a Senior Engineer to join a fast-growing BioTech software team at the intersection of software, data engineering and real-world systems integration. You will own end-to-end data pipelines and integrations, collaborating with scientists to turn complex data into actionable insights.
The role focuses on building Python services, data workflows and containerized apps, while shaping architecture as the platform scales across cloud and on‑prem environments.
We’re working with a fast-growing BioTech company that is building software to make complex scientific data easier to access, structure and use.
They’re looking for a Senior Engineer to join a team working right at the point where software engineering, data engineering and real-world systems integration come together.
A lot of the challenge starts much earlier. Data is being generated by specialist equipment and external systems, often in awkward or proprietary formats. The engineering challenge is to reliably capture that information, interpret and structure it, and build the pipelines and applications that make it usable further downstream.
You’ll have the opportunity to own problems end-to-end, rather than simply picking up predefined tickets.
You don't need to tick every box.
The strongest candidates will bring a combination of:
Experience in biotech, pharma, scientific software, laboratory technology or scientific instrumentation would be particularly interesting, but it isn't essential.
We're equally interested in excellent engineers from other industries who have worked with complex data, third-party systems, proprietary formats or difficult integration problems and who are genuinely interested in applying that experience to science.
The interesting part of this role is the breadth.
You could be building a data pipeline one day, digging into an unusual file format or integration problem the next, and then building an application that allows users to actually interact with that data.
You'll be joining a technically strong environment where engineers have substantial ownership and where the problems being solved have a tangible impact on how scientific teams work with their data.
If you're a Python Engineer, Data Engineer, Integration Engineer or Software Engineer who enjoys building things end-to-end and solving problems where the answer isn't already obvious, I'd be keen to speak.
