Job summary

Lightpath is seeking a Principal Engineer Data Network Planning to shape and execute strategies for a next-generation fiber network. You will oversee design, architecture, and implementation of scalable, secure networks, coordinating with Sales Engineering, Product, and Operations to deliver customized solutions.

The ideal candidate has extensive telecom background, deep knowledge of MP-BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SR, and strong leadership and project management capabilities to drive large-scale

Qualifications

• BS degree required; Masters preferred.
• 7–10+ years telecommunications experience.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute network strategies aligned with business goals to expand and optimize the fiber network.
• Lead decisions on network platforms and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Oversee design and architecture of scalable, secure network solutions for diverse customer needs.
• Configure, deploy, and integrate network devices and services.
• Establish and enforce network policies, standards, and configuration protocols.
