Job summary

Skill is seeking a Telecom Engineer to lead a transformative, utility-grade fiber deployment across multiple operational sites. You will own the technical approach, architect robust fiber networks, and drive project success from conception to completion.

The role demands expertise in fiber/telecommunications infrastructure, network design principles, and coordination with vendors and internal teams to ensure reliable, secure connectivity for critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with years of experience in relay protection or control systems.
• Hands-on fiber/telecommunications infrastructure experience in large-scale network projects.
• Experience in utility/substation telecommunications within critical infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical approach from requirements to RFP/specs for a large fiber deployment.
• Develop scalable fiber architecture and oversee deployment across multiple sites.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to keep projects on track.
• Lead system migration and integration with minimal disruption.
