Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Beverly, MA is seeking a senior data engineer/scientist to design and manage databases, data warehouses, and visualization tools, applying machine learning to analyze complex datasets.

Access to controlled US tech is required, with US Person status. Responsibilities include building DB schemas for SQL Server Always-On, collaborating with physicists, engineers and tests, and developing interfaces for ATE, visualization tools (JMP, Origin), and data analysis using

Qualifications

Requires BS/MS and 10+ years of experience in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline.
Experience managing large datasets and databases.
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and interface well with peers and management.

Responsibilities

Develop database schema and management strategies for SQL Server Always-On system.
Liaise with Physicists, Engineers and Test teams to characterize Atomic Clock test data.
Develop and support Stored Procedure based DB interface for ATE, visualization tools, and analysis (Python, R).
Implement and manage statistical, numerical, and machine-learning based data characterization.
Integrate Test Data with other data sources (component traceability, Manufacturing equipment telemetry, returns, etc.).
Manage DB source code, develop & execute validation test plans in accordance with industry practices.
