Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support enterprise applications across manufacturing and business sites in the United States and overseas.

You will design, develop, and support custom applications, reporting, and data-driven systems for Manufacturing and Engineering. The role is a senior technical contributor and lead, mentoring team members, guiding development standards, and driving continuous improvement across applications and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting enterprise applications.
• Experience working with Business Analysts, customers, and end users to gather requirements and deliver software solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance, mentor others, and lead project activities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support custom enterprise applications for Manufacturing, Engineering, and related business functions.
• Develop and support .NET applications, reporting solutions, and ETL processes.
• Serve as a technical lead for enterprise initiatives, including design, standards, testing, and support.
• Support multiple domestic and international sites with scalable, reliable solutions.
• Prepare functional and technical documentation and provide regular project updates.
