Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a senior data systems engineer to design and optimize databases and data warehouses, integrate visualization tools, and apply machine learning to characterize test data. You will collaborate with physicists, engineers and test teams on multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring robust data management and analyses.

The role requires a BS/MS and 10+ years in engineering or science, with experience in large datasets and data mining techniques. U.S.

Qualifications

• Develop database schema and management strategies for SQL Server Always-On system.
• Liaise with Physicists, Engineers and Test teams to characterize Atomic Clock test data.
• Develop and support Stored Procedure based DB interface for ATE, visualization tools, and analysis (Python, R).
• Implement and manage statistical, numerical, and machine-learning based data characterization.
• Integrate Test Data with other data sources (component traceability, Manufacturing equipment telemetry, returns, etc.).
• Manage DB source code, develop & execute validation test plans in accordance with industry practices.

Job Description: Suitable candidates will possess hands on experience and expertise in the development of databases and data warehouses, data visualization tools, and analytical tools including machine learning. This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States. US Person status required.

• Develop and support Stored Procedure based DB interface for ATE (automated test equipment), visualization tools (JMP, Origin, etc.), and analysis (Python, R)
• Implement and manage statistical, numerical, and machine-learning based data characterization.
• Integrate Test Data with other data sources (component traceability, Manufacturing equipment telemetry, returns, etc.)
• Manage DB source code, develop & execute validation test plans in accordance with industry practices.

Requirements/Qualifications

Pay Range

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments. Benefits of working at Microchip The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $75,000-$232,000.* *Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
