Job summary

Concept Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Data Migration Engineer to lead large-scale data migrations for a DoW program. You will design repeatable, auditable migration pipelines, perform data profiling, mapping, and validation, and oversee production cutovers while maintaining data integrity.

You will document lineage and methodologies for audit readiness, work with AWS GovCloud tools, and collaborate with data owners to resolve data-quality issues in a secure federal setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, including two production data migrations.
• Advanced SQL expertise with PostgreSQL and at least one commercial relational database.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools or Python scripting for data transformation and validation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead large-scale data migrations between enterprise systems, including data profiling, mapping, transformation, and reconciliation.
• Design and build repeatable, auditable migration pipelines with comprehensive validation reporting and rollback capabilities.

DescriptionConcept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking an experienced Senior Data Migration Engineer to support a mission-critical application modernization program for a Department of War (DoW) customer.In this role, you will lead complex data migration initiatives, ensuring the accurate, secure, and reliable transfer of data between enterprise systems. You will play a critical role in designing repeatable migration processes, maintaining data integrity, and supporting successful production transitions.This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned data engineering professional who brings strong SQL expertise, hands-on migration experience, and a commitment to delivering reliable solutions in a federal environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, including participation in at least two production data migrations.
• Advanced SQL expertise with PostgreSQL and at least one commercial relational database.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools or Python scripting for data transformation and validation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AWS GovCloud, AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), or comparable migration tools.
• Familiarity with records-retention requirements.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Work Location and Schedule

• Location: Remote
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with core hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern. Work is organized into two-week sprints, with a customer demonstration each sprint.
• Travel: 0-10%, within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
• Security Requirement: U.S. citizenship required. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance. An active Secret clearance or higher is strongly preferred and may allow an earlier start.
• Compensation: $170,000-$180,000 annual base salary, depending on experience.
