Concept Solutions LLC is seeking a Senior Data Migration Engineer to support a DoD modernization program. You will lead large-scale data migrations, design auditable pipelines, and ensure data integrity across enterprise systems in a federal environment.

Qualified candidates have 7+ years in data engineering, advanced SQL (PostgreSQL + commercial DB), ETL tools or Python, AWS GovCloud/DMS, and an active Secret clearance, with remote work and some travel to the DC area.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, including participation in at least two production data migrations.
• Advanced SQL expertise with PostgreSQL and at least one commercial relational database.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools or Python scripting for data transformation and validation.
• Experience working with AWS GovCloud, AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), or comparable migration tools.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead large-scale data migrations between enterprise systems, including data profiling, mapping, transformation, and reconciliation.
• Design and build repeatable, auditable migration pipelines with comprehensive validation reporting and rollback capabilities.
• Execute trial migrations, identify and resolve data-quality issues in collaboration with data owners, and support production cutover activities.
• Document data lineage, migration methodologies, and key decisions to support audit requirements, knowledge transfer, and operational handoff.
• Lead data migration strategies to ensure accuracy, security, and reliability across federal systems.

Description Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking an experienced Senior Data Migration Engineer to support a mission-critical application modernization program for a Department of War (DoW) customer.

In this role, you will lead complex data migration initiatives, ensuring the accurate, secure, and reliable transfer of data between enterprise systems. You will play a critical role in designing repeatable migration processes, maintaining data integrity, and supporting successful production transitions.

Plan and lead large-scale data migrations between enterprise systems, including data profiling, mapping, transformation, and reconciliation.

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with core hours of 9:00 a.m. Work is organized into two-week sprints, with a customer demonstration each sprint.
• Travel: 0–10%, within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
• Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance. An active Secret clearance or higher is strongly preferred and may allow an earlier start.
