M&T Bank is seeking an IS Senior Data Management Lead to guide data governance, quality, and analytics within the Data Management Program. This role will shape frameworks, policies, and standards across business units, while training teams and ensuring regulatory alignment.

You will act as a Data Steward, oversee data quality metrics, and drive adoption of BI tools. A strong background in SQL, data modelling, and cross-functional collaboration is essential to deliver measurable value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years’ professional experience (or equivalent with combined education/experience).
• 5 years Financial Services Experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong SQL programming knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of the Data Management Strategy and develop Data Management Framework, Policies and Standards.
• Implement the Data Management Program within assigned business unit and provide training.
• Act as Data Steward and facilitate data management working groups.
• Monitor data quality via KPIs/KRIs and drive remediation of issues.
• Promote BI tool usage and derive insights from large data sets.
