Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated analytical ability
• Creative problem solving skills
• Strong project management leadership
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams at various levels
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, graphing, and presentations with a working knowledge of financial models

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to assigned business in implementing components of the Data Management Program across governance, quality, issue management, reporting, data architecture, analytics, or project management
• Facilitate data management-related working groups
• Measure compliance with Enterprise Data Management policy and standards for assigned units
• Identify critical data elements and capture related metadata
• Monitor data quality through enterprise KPIs/KRIs and manage data risk
• Analyze large data sets to derive business insights and value
• Demonstrate usage of data management and BI tools to stakeholders
• Adhere to risk and regulatory standards and escalate issues as needed
• Promote M&T Bank brand and maintain internal controls
