Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Senior Data Integration Software Engineer to join the OneGL Data Subledger team. You will design, develop, and optimize scalable data integration solutions that support the global finance environment and month-end close processes.

Under limited supervision, you will lead data pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high availability and maintainability.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master’s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5+ years of Data Integration engineering experience.
3–5 years of AWS services (Lambda, S3, Glue, Redshift), BI tools, and building end‑to‑end data pipelines.
Strong technical skills including data processing frameworks, ETL tools, SQL, Python, APIs, and large-scale system integration.
Understanding of financial transactional flow, SAP general ledger concepts such as company codes, chart of accounts, accounting entries, coding blocks, profit centers, cost centers, ledgers, currencies, etc.
Experience with CI/CD practices & Dev Ops Principles.
Strong communication with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders with a proven track record of collaboration across multiple organizations, business partners, and stakeholders.
Collaboration, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to manage time and prioritize work with a globally distributed development team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to work with ambiguous and incomplete information.
Good understanding of agile software development concepts and processes including backlog tracking, prioritization, strong collaboration within a scrum team, and adaptability through incremental delivery.

Responsibilities

Leads initiatives to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability of our data pipelines and related systems, ensuring high availability and resilience.
Supports testing cycles, develops complex test scripts, and assists coordinating test transactional data creation.
Identifies and researches complex testing and defects within data integration.
Identifies designs for functional and technical requirements (e.g., gap analysis, infrastructure, interfaces, enhancements, and/or conversions).
Documents architecture development and standards.
Identifies design elements of new business processes and application design.
Uses testing tools successfully and documents test results for components within modules or business processes within a mixed team.
Analyzes and prepares complex technology enabled recommendations to address technology gaps.
Supports pieces of the implementation process such as post implementation support, cutover plans, and transition planning.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
