Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Data Integration Engineer for Workforce Analytics to design and operate scalable data ingestion pipelines. You will ingest data from Workday and other HR systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for analytics and modeling.

You will partner with Data Platform, HRIS, and HR teams to standardize data structures, implement observability, and optimize Fivetran connectors. A strong background in SQL, APIs, and cloud data ecosystems is required, with a focus on

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering or data integration.
• Hands-on experience with Fivetran or similar ingestion tools.
• Experience integrating data via APIs and flat files.
• Hands-on with Workday integrations or HR data systems.
• Strong SQL and understanding of data structures.
• Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems (Snowflake preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ingestion pipelines (Fivetran primary).
• Integrate data from Workday and other HR systems using APIs and flat files.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and data quality checks for ingestion pipelines.
• Configure and optimize Fivetran connectors and manage schedules.
• Define ingestion standards including API-based and file-based workflows.
• Support CI/CD deployment of ingestion pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitHub.
• Collaborate with Data Platform, HRIS/Workday teams and downstream modelers.
