Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Software Engineer to support a suite of web-based applications that automate data management for IC data custodians. The role emphasizes extracting meaning from both structured and unstructured data and applying ML techniques to reveal patterns.

You will work with DataXplorer, GMAE, and cloud data flows while collaborating with customer teams to align with mission needs. The position requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and extensive SWE experience.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required.
• Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Minimum of 6 recent years of development experience.
• Recommend new technologies and serve as technical lead of multiple software teams.
• Select the software development process in coordination with customer and system engineering.
• Ensure quality control of all developed and modified software.

Responsibilities

• Devise strategies to extract meaning from structured and unstructured data.
• Leverage statistical methods and ML to discover patterns and behaviors of entities.
• Use DataXplorer and GMAE to present datasets in a story-like manner.
• Develop data characterization methods for new and existing data types.
• Collaborate with customer teams to understand mission needs and requirements.
• Gain familiarity with data enrichment/conversion methods and data ontologies.
