Job summary

TSMC Washington, located in Vancouver, WA, is seeking a Principal Technical Lead for Data Infrastructure to define the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for the enterprise data platform. You will architect scalable data infrastructure enabling analytics, AI, manufacturing intelligence, and real-time decision making across global operations.

You will partner with AI Infrastructure, Cloud Platform, and Engineering teams in North America and Taiwan to build secure, reliable data services

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading architecture for large-scale data platforms.
• 3+ years as Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, Architect, or Technical Lead.
• Strong technical communication skills for collaborating with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term architecture and strategy for enterprise data infrastructure.
• Drive technical direction for scalable data services across global engineering and manufacturing.
• Establish standards and roadmaps; lead architecture reviews.
• Architect data lakehouse, streaming platforms, batch and real-time pipelines.
• Enable AI and analytics through governance and data services.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with North America and Taiwan teams.
