Job summary

TSMC Washington is seeking a Principal Technical Lead to define and build our enterprise AI Infrastructure Platform, enabling secure, scalable AI services for thousands of engineers across global regions.

You will lead architecture for AI platform, governance, observability, and multi-model inference, collaborating with teams in North America and Taiwan to deliver robust, high-availability AI infrastructure.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in CS or related field.
• 12+ years software engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading architecture for distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
• 3+ years as Principal/Staff/Dist Eng or Tech Lead.
• Strong technical communication with global teams.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Define AI Platform Architecture and strategy.
• Build enterprise AI infrastructure for LLM serving and GPU scheduling.
• Design distributed systems for multi-region deployment and DR.
• Provide technical leadership across teams and mentor engineers.
