Job summary

The Prince George’s County Health Department seeks a Senior Data Support Specialist - Behavioral Health Division to strengthen county-wide data analytics and surveillance. This professional role supervises staff, coordinates investigations, and ensures accurate data reporting.

You will lead data management, visualization, and program evaluation efforts, explaining regulations to team and the public, and preparing reports on morbidity and mortality with statistical inferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a biological, physical or social science.
• Three years' experience in Public Health investigative work, with one year in lead responsibilities.
• No equivalency for the required supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Exercises the full range of supervisory duties over subordinate positions.
• Monitors/coordinates investigative activities to ensure efficient operations.
• Leads and oversees county-wide data analysis, data management and data visualization.
• Performs data reporting and program evaluation.
• Approves course of action for complex cases and interprets laws and regulations for staff and public.
• Prepares reports on morbidity and mortality; computes rates and prevalence for community impact.
