Job summary

Kyowa Kirin North America seeks an Associate Director of Data Governance for Commercial Operations to establish and run the enterprise data governance program across KKNA’s data lake and source systems. You will build the catalog, access model, governance committee operations, SOPs, and enablement for data consumers, partnering with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance.

The role spans Commercial Operations, Sales & Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Patient Services, shaping data quality,

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience in data management or governance in pharma or life sciences.
• Experience leading an enterprise data governance program from early stages.
• Experience maintaining a data catalog or metadata management platform.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI/PII and data privacy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Data Access Governance including triage, classification, and provisioning.
• Own Data Governance Operations and SOPs, and manage DMC cadence.
• Document end-to-end data lineage and maintain governance policy registers.
• Onboard new data sources with owner Assignment and quality baselines.
• Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance to ensure governance in bounds.
