Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Aide in defining and maintaining data governance frameworks, principles, policies, and procedures
2. Collaborate with data owners, data stewards, and data consumers to establish data governance roles and responsibilities
3. Conduct data compliance assessments and audits, and implement data governance improvement plans
4. Monitor and report on data governance metrics and KPIs
5. Identify, report and resolve data issues and risks, and escalate them as needed
6. Provide guidance and support for data governance initiatives and projects
7. Develop and maintain data governance documentation and training materials
8. Stay updated on data governance best practices and industry standards

Experience and Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, statistics, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data quality, or data governance roles.
3. Strong proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau.
4. Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and the associated risks related to data.
5. Familiarity with data governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., DMBOK, ADM).
6. Experience with data quality and governance tools/platforms like Informatica, Collibra, Alation, BigID, Purview, etc.
7. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
8. Strong attention to detail and a quality-oriented mindset.
