Job summary
Peraton seeks a Senior Data Flow Engineer in Annapolis Junction to design, implement, and optimize complex data flows using Apache NiFi. You will review DMRs, migrate flows to the cloud, and collaborate with engineers to meet security and performance requirements.
Required are a TS/SCI with polygraph, 17+ years of SE experience, and 6+ years in data flow roles within the IC. On-call duties are part of the job, with periodic onsite issue response.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; 5 years can substitute for degree.
- 17+ years SE experience required.
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph required.
- 6+ years data flow experience.
- 10+ years in Intelligence Community environments.
- Experience with mission data formats.
- Experience with Apache NiFi for data flows.
- Experience with DMRs.
- Experience with DeltFi.
- Ability to create system diagrams and provide customer support.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot large data flows using NiFi.
- Evaluate data formatting issues and optimize performance.
- Migrate hardware data flows to a cloud environment.
- Review DMRs and develop flow solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotation (~6-8 weeks).
- Develop and maintain architecture diagrams.
