Job summary

Skillable is seeking a seasoned Manager, Data Engineering, to transform data architecture into reliable, scalable data pipelines for our enterprise data platform. You will lead a team of engineers, own delivery, and enforce best practices across ingestion, transformation, testing, and deployment.

You will champion Medallion architecture with Bronze/Silver/Gold layers, partner with the Data Architect, and drive DataOps practices in a fully remote US-based team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years in software/data engineering with production data pipelines.
• 2+ years leading teams, planning, and delivering.
• Experience managing teams, hiring, and performance reviews.
• Hands-on Databricks (Spark), Boomi/Rivery, Delta Lake patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day data engineering execution and set standards for maintainability.
• Drive the enterprise data platform roadmap with sequenced execution plans.
• Enforce Medallion architecture and data guardrails across Bronze/Silver/Gold.
