Job summary

Old National Bank is seeking a Senior Data Engineering Manager to lead a data engineering team within the Data Technology organization. You will set the vision, align with stakeholders, and drive delivery of data solutions that support the bank’s data strategy.

The role emphasizes mentorship, architectural leadership, and adherence to governance and security standards. You will mentor engineers, promote agile practices, oversee end-to-end data product delivery, and collaborate with CIO-level

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 8+ years data engineering experience.
• 3+ years leading data engineering teams (financial services/banking preferred).
• 3+ years cloud data platforms (Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Synapse Analytics, or equivalent).
• 3+ years technical product owner/product manager for data products using Scrum or Kanban.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical leader for the team’s domain, providing architectural direction and ensuring technical excellence.
• Collaborate with product owners, managers, and stakeholders to define and deliver data solutions that drive customer value.
• Oversee design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of data products, platforms, or services within the team’s scope.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with governance frameworks.
