Job summary

City National Bank seeks a Senior Data Analyst to guide end-to-end data delivery across the Insights, Data Engineering & Analytics organization. The role emphasizes governance, data product development, and collaboration with IT, Finance, and Risk to deliver robust data solutions.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in data analytics within banking, strong business translation of technical concepts, and experience with modern data platforms, including Snowflake, to drive strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in data analysis or analytics in the banking industry.
• Experience with data product development, advanced analytics, or AI/ML in enterprise settings, with a strong understanding of data systems.
• Skilled at translating technical data concepts into business outcomes.
• Ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions, aligning data products to solve specific problems for Finance, Risk, and other teams.
• Strong focus on building actionable, scalable data products with a user-centric approach.
• Snowflake experience preferred.
• Experience with data product development, advanced analytics, or AI/ML in enterprise settings, with a strong understanding of data systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle analysis, including requirements definition, activity mapping, and solution design.
• Participate in the design, development, and deployment of data products from ideation to launch. Manage governance, intake, and prioritization processes.
• Partner with IT and business units to seamlessly integrate data products into existing systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and internal controls.
• Collaborate with teams across Business, Finance, and Risk to gather, prioritize, and document requirements for data products.
• Lead data analysis via data discovery, exploration, investigation, and impact assessments.
• Conduct and leads data profiling and data preparation by identifying gaps and qualifying data.
• Validates data by verifying against requirements and success criteria.
• Lead development/quality measurement, benchmarking and goal setting, performance measurement analysis
• Identify the appropriate data sources and map the data from source to target.
