Job summary

Guardian Life is seeking a Head of Data Engineering, Corp & Enterprise to lead end-to-end data engineering and MDM strategy across corporate and enterprise units. You will drive a global delivery model with onshore and offshore teams, while staying technically current to review designs and unblock complex problems.

You will spearhead AI-assisted and agentic engineering, define data contracts, SLAs, and governance, ensuring scalable, production-ready data products for analytics, AI, and business

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive data engineering experience, including 5+ years leading data engineering teams and delivery at scale in a large enterprise.
• Strong experience with modern data stack and enterprise data governance.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data engineering for Corporate and Enterprise units — data acquisition, ingestion, transformation, and publication of production-ready data products for AI, ML, reporting, analytics, and application consumption.
• Define and execute the data engineering strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned to Guardian's enterprise data and AI strategy.
• Lead data engineering teams onshore and offshore, ensuring standards and delivery oversight across a global delivery model.
• Operate as a hands-on leader for architecture reviews, troubleshooting, and critical delivery moments.
• Own and manage MDM platform and operations on Reltio, including data modeling, match/merge rules, survivorship, workflows, and APIs.
• Drive agentic AI and AI-assisted engineering practices across pipelines, testing, data quality, observability, and automation.
• Deliver governed, reusable data products with clear contracts, SLAs, lineage, and ownership.
