KIPP Foundation is seeking a Senior Data Engineer/BI Lead to create, manage, and optimize data platforms and pipelines. You will gather requirements, define data architectures, and deliver ETL and data models that power BI reporting across the organization.

You will partner with Analytics, IT, and Product teams to drive data initiatives, ensure data quality, and lead sprint planning for owned workstreams. Remote-friendly US-based role with competitive compensation.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional experience in data engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Experience with SQL-based data platforms and modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Fabric/OneLake, or Databricks.
• Strong technical proficiency in SSIS, Spark, PySpark, and SQL.
• Demonstrated experience managing Tableau infrastructure (on‑prem and cloud) and operations.

Responsabilidades

• Own and drive end-to-end delivery of data architecture and pipeline solutions, including design, build, testing, and governance.
• Design and evolve semantic layer as the single source of truth for BI reporting.
• Establish data quality frameworks with monitoring, alerting, and root-cause analysis.
• Lead BI platform management (Tableau) including updates, maintenance, and security.
• Partner with Analytics, IT, Product Management, and Regional Data teams to drive project plans and ensure data availability.
• Guide sprint planning and execution, managing dependencies and blockers.
• Mentor data engineers and ensure thorough validation and documentation.
