CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead a 10–12 person data engineering team delivering scalable data platforms and database capabilities that support analytics and operations. The role emphasizes SQL proficiency, cloud-enabled data solutions, and strong collaboration with senior business and IT leaders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, database engineering, data platform operations, or related engineering disciplines.
• 7+ years of experience with SQL and database technologies, data modeling, and performance optimization.
• 5+ years of leadership, performance management, and building engineering teams.
• 5+ years driving operational excellence, service stability, and continuous improvement.
• 5+ years cross-functional collaboration across engineering, infrastructure, security, architecture, and business teams.
• 2+ years using AI-enabled tools to improve productivity with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of data engineers and DBAs.
• Oversee design, delivery, and improvement of data platforms and database solutions.
• Drive operational excellence, monitoring, resiliency, and risk reduction.
• Provide leadership across data engineering, DBAs, and platform responsibilities.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, infrastructure, security, and business teams.
