Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to lead cloud and data platform initiatives. You will shape target architectures for analytics, collaborate with business and IT, and guide adoption of cloud technologies across the Data Analytics and AI Office.

The role requires 6+ years in cloud and data domains, with hands-on experience in AWS/GCP, IaC, and data delivery. A hybrid or remote work arrangement is supported, with occasional office collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
6+ years of cloud computing, data delivery applications, analytics or equivalent.
3+ years of architectural guidance to developers or platform admins.
2+ years of designing and implementing solutions in AWS and GCP services.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and deliver impact within 6–12 months.
Experience with agile scrum methodologies and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Analyze industry trends in cloud computing and data platform technologies.
Design and engineer target state platform architectures with reusable patterns for Cloud Data ecosystems (AWS, PySpark, Snowflake, Tableau, ThoughtSpot).
Collaborate with internal customers to assess needs and guide技术 choices for batch/streaming, real-time and data integration.
Drive hands-on evaluations of new technologies, building IaC and cloud platforms for POCs.
Incorporate DevOps and DataOps to increase automation and efficiency.
Promote adoption of services through technical roadshows and stakeholder engagement.
