Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to join the Data Analytics and AI Office (DAIO) and Data Platform Services (DPS). The role offers hybrid or remote work arrangements with office presence in Columbus, OH, Hartford, CT, or nearby locations.

You will architect cloud data solutions, guide transformations, and foster adoption of modern data platforms including AWS, PySpark, Snowflake, Tableau and ThoughtSpot.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of cloud computing, data delivery applications, analytics or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of architectural guidance and technical direction to developers or platform administrators.
• 2+ years designing and implementing solutions in AWS and GCP services.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and perform major responsibilities within 6–12 months.
• Experience in agile Scrum methodologies and strong communication with business and IT partners.

Responsibilities

• Analyze industry trends focused on cloud computing and data platform technologies.
• Define target state architectures and roadmaps to guide transformation efforts.
• Collaborate with internal customers to evaluate needs and provide architectural guidance for solutions.
• Build IaC and cloud platforms to support POCs of new technologies.
• Incorporate DevOps and DataOps practices to drive automation.
• Drive adoption through technical roadshows and stakeholder engagement.
