Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Senior Lead, Data Engineering to shape enterprise data solutions and mentor engineers. You will drive complex data initiatives, define strategy, and partner with teams to deliver scalable data products across procurement analytics and business transformation.

Responsibilities include architecture modernization, Azure-based solution design, data harmonization across ERP systems, and setting engineering standards while aligning with leadership priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field is required.
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or enterprise data platforms.
• Experience architecting and modernizing scalable cloud data platforms in an enterprise.
• Hands-on with Azure-based data engineering tech (Databricks, Delta Lake, Data Factory, DevOps, CI/CD).
• Strong SQL and Python, with Spark or similar distributed processing.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data models for analytics.
• Experience integrating data from multiple ERP/source systems into common models.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development, and modernization of scalable enterprise data platforms.
• Define and execute a multi-year data engineering strategy focused on scalability and maintainability.
• Design, build, and optimize Azure-based data solutions using Databricks, Delta Lake, and Data Factory.
• Integrate and harmonize data across ERP systems into common data models.
• Partner with analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs into reusable data products.
• Establish engineering standards, conduct architecture reviews, and improve documentation.
• Mentor engineers to raise team technical capability.
• Identify and implement AI-enabled approaches to improve development, data quality, and productivity.
• Evaluate tools and platform investments for performance, security, and governance.
• Support internal data products, APIs, and user-facing applications for procurement insights.
