PowerToFly is seeking a Senior Lead, Data Engineering to guide architecture and delivery of enterprise data solutions. You will shape a multi-year strategy, drive scalable Azure-based platforms, and mentor engineers to elevate data practices across teams.

You will partner with procurement, analytics, and product stakeholders to translate complex requirements into reusable data products and robust data models. This is a senior leadership role within a growing data organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 6+ years experience in data engineering or enterprise data platforms.
• Proven experience with cloud-based data platforms in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on Azure data engineering technologies (Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, infra automation).
• Strong SQL and Python, with Spark or similar distributed processing frameworks.
• Experience designing reliable ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouses/lakehouses.
• Experience integrating data from ERP/s or harmonizing enterprise data into common models.
• Experience with API integrations, REST, security, governance, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development, and modernization of scalable data platforms for global analytics.
• Define and execute a multi-year data engineering strategy focused on scalability and maintainability.
• Design and optimize Azure-based data solutions (Databricks, Delta Lake, ADF, DevOps, CI/CD).
• Harmonize data across ERP systems into common data models.
• Partner with analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data products.
• Establish standards, review architecture, improve docs, and mentor engineers.
• Identify AI-enabled approaches to accelerate development and data quality.
