Job summary

Moultrie is seeking a Data Engineer to join the growing Data and Analytics Team. This role maintains and builds the foundational data layer in Snowflake, using a stack that includes Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, dbt, Snowflake, and Airflow.

You will ingest and reconcile data from telemetry, customer, and subscription sources, collaborating across marketing, operations and finance to align BI products with needs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering with production pipelines.
• Strong SQL proficiency and dbt experience.
• Python for ingestion, transformation, and automation.
• Git and CI/CD basics; version control and code reviews.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into data models and deliver in sprints.
• Excellent documentation of model definitions and data dictionaries.
• Collaborative across data engineering, analytics, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain pipelines into Snowflake with documented ingestion patterns.
• Model data at bronze, silver, gold, and platinum levels in dbt with tests and docs.
• Build semantic models for natural language querying.
• Evaluate downstream tools alignment with data build needs.
• Translate business questions into reliable data models with the DnA Lead.
• Collaborate with data scientists to support predictive modeling.
