Job summary

Stand8 Technology Consulting seeks a Level 3 Senior Data Engineer to transform and migrate legacy Oracle data assets into Snowflake using dbt. The contract role builds modular transformation models, validates migrated data, and monitors ELT pipelines across Dev and QA environments.

The engineer will optimize SQL and Snowflake performance, maintain testing/docs for migrated tables, and guide cloud architecture best practices while supporting UAT approvals to completion.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Oracle development in large enterprise/data warehouse environments.
• Experience with ETL/ELT development, mappings, transformations, scheduling and troubleshooting.
• Data migration expertise: migrating legacy databases to Snowflake using dbt.

Responsibilities

• Rewrite legacy Oracle procedures and views into modular dbt models.
• Implement dbt tests and maintain schema.yml documentation for migrated tables.
• Refactor Oracle SQL to leverage Snowflake features, including micro-partitioning and clustering keys.
• Monitor ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure data loads into staging before dbt processing.
• Lead and coach the team on cloud architecture best practices while supporting UAT approvals.
